2nd Half, Let's Roll!

The message for the team, is that we are coming off the bye week and to block everything else out. Know everything that we went through in the first half of the season, and understand where we are. You can't ask for anything else, no matter what your record is, than to be playing for first place. When you do have that opportunity, you have to seize that moment. The most exciting part is we know that this is a love/hate relationship with the Steelers. We respect them, but we don't sit well with Pittsburgh and they don't sit well with us. It's a nasty ballgame, and that's why I said there's no better team than to go in and do it the way we're going in to do it. All the pressure's on them, it's their house, they are favored and it's Monday Night Football?The nation is watching. It's the second half of the season, let's roll! Because we don't have pressure on us; nobody's looking for us to do anything, like always. When you line up the players, you know who's coming to play. And that's what the message was pretty much about. Look forward now, let's do what we do. Let's play Ravens-style football without listening to what everybody else is talking about, and let's go into Pittsburgh, a team we know and match up with very well with, and let's get us a victory.

  Ray the only way yall will win is if you can hold the steelers to under 7 points. With you leading the Ravens you will run the table with a win against Pitt and will win the AFC North. Defense wins championships.

  I would just like to hope you the best. You are one of my favorite (non-patriot-don't kill me for that!) players. I love your passion in the game even though it may get the best of you! I will actually be able to see the Ravens play when they come to NE. That will be a bonus. We don't get that opportunity often in my parts.

  Ray Ray keep it real is right! Listen, if this was on Sunday afternoon I would immediately count you guys out. However, since it's MNF and because this defense always wants to shine on MNF I'll give the defense a good game. On the other hand, that offense has been one of the most boring and nonproductive offense in the history of the NFL.

  Well, Ray, last time I looked the score was 35-0, Pittsburgh, and it wasn't even half-time. The last time the Ravens stunk this bad was on MNF in the rain in Miami, the year you won the Super Bowl. Guess you and your buds just don't like MNF and the rain. Hope this season isn't in the tank. Stay Healthy!

  Stay positive Ray. The season isn't over yet. I really feel for this team because the talent is there, but everyone does not seem to play with the same desire. It's like it's not ONE TEAM. When I watch the Defensive Line take to the field, there seems to be this uniform sense of "Ok, let's go do our job". You guys walk the sidelines, putting on your helmets, dapping each other up like you are going to war. I get pumped because I actually feel like there's an energy and a desire; one voice saying, "Hold that line". I don't see that same connection when the Offense takes the line. I would love to see the same kind of energy and solidarity coming from the Offensive Line. Where is the desire? I support teams that play with that same desire and passion that they had playing college ball. That's why I love San Antonio Spurs and the Pacers, in the day of Reggie Miller. Win or lose, let's play hard. That's why I love the Ravens. The Defensive Line has that passion and it's exciting to see. I imagine it's difficult to see yourself falling short on the scoreboard when, inside, you know you are a winner. I imagine it's hard to keep that energy and passion going when the numbers are telling you, "what's the point?". Lastnight's game was hard, but keep doing what you are doing. Keep playing hard. Know that when you look in the mirror, you can tell yourself that you didn't hold back on anything.

  Hi Ray! It was a rough loss last night but I know we'll bounce back. Don't get discouraged! I still have faith in my team! :) My favorite Bible verse, Romans 8:28 says ALL things work together for good...so that means even a loss! Keep your spirits high! Thanks so much for all your blogs. I can really identify with you and what you write about. Keep spreading the Word of God! You're doing a great job and are an awesome testimony for what He can do!! It's amazing that you're the best MLB of all-time, but your actions off the field are even more impressive. I look up to you a lot and I know that many other people do too. Thanks for all you do!   I think your the best to ever play the position. My sister is stationed near by so hopefully I can make it to one of those parties my buddy told me about. My nephew plays mlb and he thinks your the best too. Well be cool man and keep the faith oh Ed Reed is cool too I met him when he was renting a car once!
